A notification is a message that Android displays outside your app's UI to provide the user with reminders, communication from other people, or other timely information from your app. Users can tap the notification to open your app or take an action directly from the notification.

Your iPhone will alert you when there's a message, voicemail, email or other updates. Your iPhone can alert you with a sound, or a text alert on your screen. There are different alert styles notifications, banners, and badges. You can also choose to not have any type of alerts on your iPhone by modifying settings.

3Check the Notification Settings Step 1: Open Your Android device settings. Step 2: Scroll down till you see "Notifications & status bar." Tap on it. Step 3: Now select apps; you will see a list of applications and search for Messages. Step 4: Make sure the notifications for the default messaging app are turned on.

Check Notification Settings for Messages Ensure Allow Notifications is green. Next, check the boxes for Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners. Tap Sounds and choose a loud message tone. If you don't see the actual message content on your iPhone's Lock Screen, tap Show Previews and choose Always.
