A model release is a type of entertainment contract that permits a company to publish the subject of a photograph for commercial purposes. You may need a model release form and a brand ambassador or social media marketing agreement when working with influencers.

Generally, a model release is only required if the way the photo is published makes it seem that the person in the photo endorses the product, service, or organization. A model release would almost always be required if the use is for advertising.
