Once sent, you can no longer edit the invoice directly, and a credit note must be issued instead.

Generally, it is legal to amend an invoice that is missing information or includes an error. However you should never delete an invoice if this happens. It is important for auditing reasons that you hold onto records, even if they are incomplete or incorrect.

If you realise your invoice is incorrect before you've actually sent it to your customer, then the problem can easily be solved. You can simply edit the invoice and fix the error. An invoice is not considered ?issued? if it hasn't yet been delivered to the addressee.

If there is a mistake, incorrect or wrong entry in the e-invoice, it cannot be edited or corrected. The only option is to cancel that invoice/IRN and upload a new invoice (with a new number) and generate a fresh IRN.
