Bringing the Draft to the Masses There was indeed an audience for the NFL Draft. The event has grown each year, eventually moving from a smoky hotel conference room to the stage at New York's Radio City Music Hall. The draft expanded to a three-day format in 2010, and moved out of New York City in 2015.

Each team is given a position in the drafting order in reverse order relative to its record in the previous year, which means that the last place team is positioned first and the Super Bowl champion is last.

Proposed by Bert Bell, the Eagles owner and future NFL commissioner, the plan called for teams to select players in inverse order of their finish the previous season. The first draft had nine rounds and was increased to 10 in 1937. It was expanded to 20 rounds in 1939.

The 2023 MLB draft is in the books, with the Pittsburgh Pirates selecting LSU star Paul Skenes with the No. 1 overall pick. The Washington Nationals followed by drafting Skenes' teammate, Dylan Crews, with the No. 2 pick, making them the first pair of teammates to go 1-2 in MLB draft history.

Maintaining the radio log The radio log must contain a summary of communications relating to distress, urgency and safety messages. The summary must include dates and times in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), details of the vessels involved and their positions.
