Display Page Break Deed For Free

Go to Layout > Breaks > Page. Click or tap in the document where you want a page break. Go to Insert > Page Break.

A page break or hard page break is a code inserted by a software program (e.g., word processor) telling the printer where to end the current page and begin the next. After inserting the Page Break, a symbol indicating the Page Break is shown, and the cursor is placed on the next page. Tip.

In normal view, they appear as dashed horizontal and vertical lines; in page layout view, they appear as empty spaces between the pages. You can adjust where automatic page breaks occur and add your own page breaks manually. You can also remove manual page breaks, but you cannot remove automatic page breaks.

Show section breaks Go to Home > Show/Hide . The section breaks that you've added will start and end with something similar to this:

Manual page breaks are denoted by a solid line. In Page Break Preview mode, manual page breaks are depicted by a solid blue line while automatic ones are shown by dashed blue lines as shown above.

An automatic page break is indicated by a dotted line. A manual page break is a dotted line labeled ?Page Break?.

Select Home > Show/Hide . This will display non-printing characters?paragraph markers, section breaks, page breaks, etc. ?that you may want to see while you're working on your document. Double-click the page break so that it's selected, and then press Delete.

An automatic page break is indicated by a dotted line.

Use page breaks to control where a page ends and where a new page begins. Insert a page break. Place the cursor where you want to start a new page. Select Insert > Page Break.
