A page break is an intentional division between pages in a Microsoft Word document. When you type a document with more than a page of words, Microsoft Word's default formatting moves the text to a new page after filling the first page. As you add or delete information, the text might move from one page to another.

Remove a manual page break Go to Home and select Show/Hide. This displays page breaks while you're working on your document. Click or tap just after the paragraph mark in the page break, and then press Delete.

You can't remove manual page breaks in Word while you have Track Changes switched on. To turn off Track Changes, go to the Review tab in the top ribbon, click Track Changes and then Track Changes again. Turn off Track Changes by clicking Track Changes in the drop-down menu.

Unfortunately, there is no intrinsic way to delete section breaks and maintain the formatting represented by that break. There is a workaround you can use, however: Place the insertion point at the end of the document, just after the final section break.

Double-click the page break so that it's selected, and then press Delete.
