Once you decide whether you need to void or delete a transaction, here's how to do it: Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then select All sales (Take me there) or Expenses (Take me there). Find the transaction. In the Action column, select the small arrow ? icon and then select Void or Delete.

Tip: For good bookkeeping, it's better to void than to delete it to keep the whole record of the transaction. Only delete a transaction if you're sure that you don't need a record of it. Note: You can't void bills, but you can void bill payments.

Void or fully refund a transaction Sign in to your QuickBooks Payments account. From the Processing Tools drop-down, select Reverse a Transaction. Fill out the necessary fields and select Search. Select the transaction(s) you want to refund, then Submit.

You can request a direct deposit reversal 5 business days from the pay date (US) or 4 business days (Canada). But this doesn't guarantee that the funds will be recovered. Go to the Accountant menu and select Batch Delete/Void Transactions. Select the transactions you want to delete or void from the Available Transactions list. Select Review & Delete (or Review & Void).

Sign in to your QuickBooks Payments account. From the Activity & Reports drop-down, select Transactions. Enter the appropriate date range, then Search. Select the Transaction ID or the transaction you want to reverse. Select Reverse (Void/Credit). Type in the amount you want to refund, then Submit.

Go to Bookkeeping, then select Transactions, then select the All sales tab. Find the invoice you want to void. In the Action column, select Void from the ? dropdown. Select Yes to void the invoice.

QuickBooks Online Go to Expenses, then Vendors. Select your contractor. Look for the payment you want to delete or void, then select View/Edit. Select Delete or Void. Select Yes to confirm changes.

The General Rule: Contracts Are Effective When Signed Unless a contract contains a specific rescission clause that grants the right for a party to cancel the contract within a certain amount of time, a party cannot back out of a contract once they have agreed and signed it.

You will need to terminate the contract by serving the period of notice which is stipulated in your contract of employment.
