If you Never Received a Check from DFAS It takes approximately 30 days from the date DFAS receives an approval to issue your check. If you received approval more then 30 days ago, and want to check the status, visit AskDFAS.

Check document status by logging in to DTS. Go to "Official Travel" vouchers or authorization, and then look in the "Sort by Status" column. Or, go to the digital signature page within the document. If you can't access to DTS, contact your Defense Travel Administrator (DTA) to check the status of your document.

Upon completion of your FUNDED travel authorization/orders you must file a travel voucher/claim within 5 days of return. Click on Official Travel; Select 'Vouchers' you will see a hyperlink 'Create New Voucher from Authorization'. Select the appropriate trip to create the voucher against.

Note 1: You can't delete a lodging expense from the Reservation Expenses section if you reserved the lodging through DTS. You must update the lodging cost on the Adjust Per Diem Amounts screen. To get there, select Per Diem on the Progress Bar, then select Adjust Per Diem Amounts.

Travelers are reminded that it is your responsibility to file your travel voucher within 5 days upon return to minimize any delays in payment to the travel card vendor. Failure to file the voucher will result in the traveler being responsible for the balance due in full upon receipt of the bill.

Your payment was approved and released by our payment system. The funds should be available within 3-5 business days.

You must file a voucher or local voucher to receive reimbursement for expenses you incurred and paid the allowances you earned while on official travel. DTS vouchers originate from an authorization, while DTS local vouchers are for official travel that has already occurred in your local area.

My document is stamped VOUCHER SUBMITTED. What does that mean? For most sites, it means that DTS has received the following from the financial system: A positive acknowledgement (POS ACK RECEIVED) for all obligations relating to this voucher. An acknowledgement that the payment has been sent to disbursing.
