Contract Hide Sticky Notes For Free

To hide a sticky note, click on the 'Hide Note' icon in the Note Toolbar. Double click on the note in the Notes List of the Notes Browser to view the hidden sticky note. To view it on your desktop, from the Notes Browser, select the sticky note stuck to the Windows desktop.

To lock a sticky: Click anywhere on the sticky note. Select Lock Sticky. A red pin will be added to the sticky. Once a sticky note is locked, you will not be able to edit it unless it is unlocked again.

To add a bunch of stickies in a row, click the sticky note icon, choose Bulk mode and start typing away. Hit Enter to separate ideas. The limit of symbols depends on the font size. Click Done, when you finish, and your ideas will be added to the board as stickies.

Sticky notes are not encrypted. Windows stores your sticky notes in a special appdata folder, which is probably C:\\Users\\logon\\AppData\\Roaming\\Microsoft\\Sticky Notes--with logon being the name with which you log onto your PC.

To close Sticky Notes app without losing all my notes, simply press Alt + F4. It's the keyboard shortcut known for closing any active application. Note that there is still no way you can close single sticky note without deleting it. And to minimize the Sticky Notes app, just click its icon on the taskbar once.
