Complete Required Field Title For Free

The title column is a default column that is included in all SharePoint Online lists and can be used to store information such as the name of the list item. However, if you do not need to use the title column, you can easily remove it from your list.

In the List Settings page, Scroll down to the Columns section and Click on a column that you would like to make required. Scroll down to the Additional Column Settings and to select ?Yes? to make the field required or ?No? to make it optional. Select OK to save your changes.

Choose the object > Fields & Relationships. Select the custom field that you will make required. Click on Edit and under General Options select Required. Click on Save.

If you use the Content Type functionality on your list or library, you will need to make your columns required via Content Type settings. Here is how to do this: Click on the Column Name within the Content Type. Change the radio button to Required and click OK.

Go to List Settings >> Pick the Field by clicking on its ?Title? under the ?Columns? Section. Set ?Yes? for ?Require that this column contains information?. Click ?OK? to save changes.

Under the Description input box you will see a line that says "Require that this column contains information:" select no then scroll down and and hit ok on the bottom right side of the screen.
