Complete Required Field Resolution For Free

As the Resolution Field is a Required Field, if it is added to a "Default" Screen, newly created or edited issues will be in a Resolved state as the field would be populated by the Default Resolution Value.

1 answer. Resolution Field can't be made optional. DO NOT put the field on any screen except the one presented in the transition where it is to be set. Resolution is a special field in JIRA.

If the resolution is on a screen where it can be entered, then it will have the current value selected, or if it is empty, it will have the default selected.
