When you make a field required, people must enter an answer to the field in order to submit their entry. When someone tries to submit an entry without filling out a required field, we highlight the problematic fields and display an error message to let them know the field is required.

Go to transaction OBC4 and create a field status group inside a field status variant. Inside each field status group, you can set the mandatory or optional fields, or suppress some fields. Go to FS00, and for each account, set a field status group inside each account.

When someone tries to register, they get the notification Please fill in all required fields even if they have already done so. They are only able to submit the form if all of the required fields are removed.
