Press F4 to open the Property Sheet, if it isn't already open. On the All tab of the Property Sheet, make sure the Show Date Picker property is set to For dates.

The date picker in HTML is created using the <input> element of type=?date?, this creates an input field in the HTML document, which allows us to type the date manually and it will validate the input or we can enter using the date picker interface.

To set current date in control to which jQuery UI datepicker bind, use setDate() method. Pass date object which needs to be set as an argument to setDate() method. If you want to set it to current date then you can pass 'today' as argument.

The DateRangePicker is available for UI customization based on your application requirements. It can be achieved by using renderDayCell event that provides an option to customize each day cell on rendering. The following example disables the weekends of every month by using renderDayCell event.
