To remove a page break you added in manually, click the Home tab. Click Show/Hide ¶ to display the page breaks in your document. Find the manual page break you want to remove and double click the page break to highlight it. Finally, hit the Delete or Backspace key to remove it.

Go to Layout > Breaks > Page.Click or tap in the document where you want a page break.Go to Insert > Page Break.

The new page is created to prevent footnotes (or endnotes) from two different sections of the document from being displayed on the same page. The continuous section break is sometimes used to change the number of columns that appear on a single page.

Click the Special button and select Section Break from the popup menu. The character string ^b (section break) is inserted into the Find what edit box. Click Find Next to find the first occurrence of a section break in your document. When a section break is found, it's automatically selected.

The different kinds of section breaks include next page, continuous, even page, and odd page breaks.

To apply the right fix, do the following:Click anywhere inside the paragraph that you want to keep together.Click the Home tab and click the Paragraph group's dialog launcher.Click the Line and Page Breaks tab.Check the Keep Lines Together option (Figure A).Click OK.

Adjust automatic page breaksSelect the paragraph following the unwanted page break.On the Format menu, select Paragraph, and then select the Line and Page Breaks tab.Clear the Keep lines together, Keep with next, and Page break before check boxes.

Select Home > Show/Hide . This will display non-printing charactersparagraph markers, section breaks, page breaks, etc. that you may want to see while you're working on your document.Double-click the page break so that it's selected, and then press Delete.

Removing a Section Break: Next, Even or Odd PageOn the Home tab, in the Paragraph section, click SHOW/HIDE ¶Place your insertion point just before the section break.Press Delete

Open your Word document. Go to Home > Click the Show/Hide button to display all non-printable hidden marks like page breaks, spaces, and non-breaking spaces in the document.
