Chart Title Release For Free

Click anywhere in the chart to which you want to add a title. This displays the Chart Tools, adding the Design, Layout, and Format tabs. On the Layout tab, in the Labels group, click Chart Title. Click Centered Overlay Title or Above Chart.

All graphs, diagrams and images should be titled as Figures. These will be numbered consecutively throughout the dissertation: Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, and so on. After the numbering, there should be a short and concise title. Titles for figures appear below the figure itself.

For example, if you were comparing the the amount of fertilizer to how much a plant grew, the amount of fertilizer would be the independent, or x-axis variable and the growth would be the dependent, or y-axis variable.
