Checkbox event handling using pure Javascript Now what we need to do is to attach an event to the checkbox so it checks its state each time it's changed and show the message if it has been unchecked , notice I added a checked property to the checkbox so it is checked by default.

The validation of the checkbox in javascript can be done using the checked property of the checkbox element. This property returns true when the checkbox is selected. The addEventListener() method can be used to apply the change event to the checkbox to validate whenever the user interacts with the checkbox.

Use the onclick event Whenever we click on any element, the onclick event triggers that particular element. We can also use the onclick event with a checkbox. So, whenever the user checks or unchecks the checkbox, we can invoke any function using the onclick event attribute.
