The solution is simple: mark all the required fields. Be as explicit and transparent as possible: for every single field that must be completed, mark it as required.

Go to Admin settings > Lead/Contact/Account/Deal module > Add Fields. You can make a field mandatory either while adding a new field(custom fields) or editing one (default and custom fields). To edit a field, click the Edit icon of the field from the custom field list.

The best way to indicate optional is to add the word in parenthesis after the label. It's easy to read and visually connected to the label that it is referring to.

When creating a field in a GoCanvas App, you have the option to make it Required, meaning the person filling out the Submission won't be able to proceed to the next screen without providing the required field with an entry.

When you make a field required, people must enter an answer to the field in order to submit their entry. When someone tries to submit an entry without filling out a required field, we highlight the problematic fields and display an error message to let them know the field is required.

When a mandatory field is available in the form, it means user should fill that field without fail. Leaving the mandatory fields will cause in non submission of the form.
