There are two main ways to insert a Page Break. The first is from the Insert tab on Word's ribbon, in the Pages section. You can also insert Page Breaks, Column Breaks, and Text Wrapping from the Breaks button in the Page Setup section of the Layout tab.

Make sure that non-printing characters are not displayed on your screen. (Just press Shift+Ctrl+8 as many times as necessary to hide the display of the non-printing characters.) Put the insertion point at the beginning of the second paragraph and press Ctrl+Enter to add a page break.

Inserting Breaks Whether you want to insert a page (non-section) or section break, go to the Layout ribbon and select the Page Setup group, then select the Breaks button. The top half of the drop-down menu contains page (non-section) breaks, and the bottom half contains section breaks.

Always force a page break before a paragraph Select the paragraph that you want to follow the page break. On the Home tab in Word, or on the FORMAT TEXT tab in an Outlook email, select the Paragraph Dialog Box launcher . Select the Line and Page Breaks tab. Under Pagination, select Page break before. Select OK.

To insert a manual page break, click into the document at the place you want the page break to occur, before an automatic break. Press the Ctrl + Enter keys on your keyboard. Alternatively, click the Layout tab in the Ribbon and click the Breaks drop-down button.

There are four types of Section Breaks in Microsoft Word: Next Page, Continuous, Even Page, and Odd Page.

This is the most bare-bones type of merge, and you can still use it to create virtually any type of finished document you want. The other way to get rid of the section breaks is to create Form Letters (by choosing that option), and then use Find and Replace to remove the section breaks in the final document.

If the merge block should break after the first block and the new block should be rendered on a new section, a section break can be included into the merge block. Therefore, simply set the input position to the end of the block and select Breaks -> Next Page from the Page Setup group in the Page Layout ribbon tab.
