You can sort columns of cells alphabetically and numerically. On your Android phone or tablet, open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app. To select a column, tap a letter at the top. To open the menu, tap the top of the column again. Tap More . Scroll down and tap SORT A-Z or SORT Z-A. Your data will be sorted.

In the "Sort by" drop-down menu, select the first row you want to sort by. In the "Then by" drop-down menu, select the second row you want to sort by. You can continue to add rows to sort by in the "Then by" drop-down menus. You can also choose to sort the rows in ascending or descending order.

To do this, select the cells you want to sort, then click the ?Data? tab in the ribbon and select ?Sort?. In the window that appears, select the defined name from the drop-down list in the Sort by field, then select ?A to Z? or ?Z to A? from the Order drop-down menu. Click ?OK? when you are done.

Select the columns to sort. Note: For the best results, each column should have a heading. In the ribbon, click Data > Sort. In the Sort popup window, in the Sort by drop-down, choose the column on which you need to sort.

In your form, click on the question you want to add a dropdown list to or add a new question by clicking the plus sign in the floating menu on the right. Click the box in the upper right corner of the question field. Then select Dropdown. Now you can add items for your dropdown list by clicking Add option.

Select a cell where you want a drop-down list. Click the DATA tab, and click Data Validation. In the Data Validation dialog, set Allow to List; this enables a list in the cell. Leave In-cell drop-down selected; this enables a drop-down list in the cell.

Create a drop-down list Select the cells that you want to contain the lists. On the ribbon, click DATA > Data Validation. In the dialog, set Allow to List. Click in Source, type the text or numbers (separated by commas, for a comma-delimited list) that you want in your drop-down list, and click OK.

Adding the sortable class to a <table> element provides support for sorting by column value. Clicking the column headers will sort the table rows by that column's value. Tables must use <thead> and <th> tags for sortable functionality to work. The <th> tag defines a header cell in an HTML table.
