A 2.0 cumulative GPA and 2.0 GPA in courses in the major are the minimum requirements for both admission to and completion of all major programs. Some majors, however, may have requirements higher than a 2.0 GPA in major courses for either entrance or completion.

Fitchburg State University is home to three national fraternities and three national sororities on campus. The fraternities are governed by the Interfraternity Council (IFC) and the sororities are governed by the Panhellenic Council. All six organizations are governed by Greek Council.

The number of fraternities and sororities at the University of Minnesota is extensive. Approximately 11% of undergraduates, 3,400 students, participate in one of the 60 chapters of social fraternities or sororities at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus.
