Get Sequence Faq's - Uvm

Er provides DNA template and primers (see below for a list of primers that the facility has available). The facility performs and cleans the cycle sequence reaction. If the user prefers, they can do their own cycle sequence reaction, clean the cycle sequence product, and bring the samples ready to run on the instrument. The cleaned product should be in water and does not need to be dried in a speed-vac. Sequence Runs- This is the run of the cleaned cycle sequence reaction on the 3130xl Genetic A.

A UVM sequence is a collection of SystemVerilog code which runs to cause “things to happen”. There are many. things that can happen. A sequence most normally creates a transaction, randomizes it and sends it to a sequencer, and then on to a driver.

A group of related transactions in UVM is called a sequence, and the individual members are called sequence items. When you write your transaction classes, extend uvm_sequence_item, not uvm_transaction. Here is the OOP hierarchy for these classes, including your transaction class, called tx_item.

A uvm_sequence_item is an extended uvm_transaction that contains additional information to allow it to be generated by a uvm_sequencer. Since you will generally want to create items using a sequence, it is highly recommended to always use uvm_sequence_item.

A sequence is a user-defined object that generates a sequence of numeric values ing to the specification with which the sequence was created. Sequences, unlike identity columns, are not associated with tables. Applications refer to a sequence object to get its current or next value.

We require a virtual sequencer to have a control over all the sequencers from a central place. If we have a single driving agent, we do not need a virtual sequencer. If we have multiple driving agents but no stimulus coordination is required, we do not need a virtual sequencer.

A sequencer generates data transactions as class objects and sends it to the Driver for execution. It is recommended to extend uvm_sequencer base class since it contains all of the functionality required to allow a sequence to communicate with a driver.

How to write a sequence? Using macros like `uvm_do , `uvm_create, `uvm_send etc. Using existing methods from the base class. a. Using wait_for_grant(), send_request(), wait_for_item_done() etc. b. Using start_item/finish_item methods.

A group of related transactions in UVM is called a sequence, and the individual members are called sequence items. When you write your transaction classes, extend uvm_sequence_item, not uvm_transaction. Here is the OOP hierarchy for these classes, including your transaction class, called tx_item.

UVM sequences are made up of several data items which can be put together in different ways to create interesting scenarios. They are executed by an assigned sequencer which then sends data items to the driver. Hence, sequences make up the core stimuli of any verification plan.

whenever we create sequence items for UVM TB (TestBench), m_sequencer gets declared even before creating any user specific sequences. Whereas p_sequencer handle not even present in out TB until we declare it manually. When we call sequence.
