To renew your membership, login to your ASID account and access the My Membership menu. From there, you can pay your dues online or print a copy of your invoice. If you dropped your ASID membership less than five (5) years ago, you can reinstate without re-submitting documentation.

ASID Practitioners qualify for membership based on their education, experience, and examination. Professional Practitioners have successfully passed the NCIDQ Exam, ARE, or ASID-approved equivalent examination. Allied Practitioners have successfully completed a degree with a major in interior design or architecture.

American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) certification ASID certification is recognized internationally as a mark of professionalism and credibility. This certified membership requires you to pass the NCIDQ exam and have at least two years of full-time work experience in the field.

All cancelations must be submitted to ASID by email to membership@asid.org. Cancelation emails must include 3 things: 1- your name, 2- your ASID member number, 3- your reason for canceling/ membership feedback (this information is shared with our leadership and National Board).

Any individual or organization of good professional and business reputation who is otherwise qualified under the Policies, and who agrees to comply with all obligations imposed upon Society Members by the Bylaws and Code of Ethics may be admitted to membership in one of the Society's membership categories.

Professional, Allied, and Associate Practitioner Member dues are billed annually with the option to pay upfront or in quarterly installments. View the official ASID Billing Policies. The first quarter installment is $201 and includes the annual $25 legislative fee and the annual $45 processing fee.
