An Arizona boat bill of sale proves a boat purchase and sale between two or more parties. Upon registering their newly acquired boat, the new owner must submit a bill of sale to the Arizona Game and Fish Department, among several other documents.

Registration stickers must be affixed on both sides of the bow, three inches behind (toward the stern) and in line with the number. If boating on fresh water, Quagga/Zebra Mussel fee stickers must be affixed on both sides of the bow, behind (towards the stern) and in line with the registration sticker.

To transfer ownership and register, the new owner should complete the Application for Arizona Watercraft Certificate of Number form and bring it along with the completed Bill of Sale to an Arizona Game and Fish Department (AGAFD) office. The applicant must pay a registration fee to complete the process.

A person seeking ownership of an abandoned or unreleased watercraft shall submit an application to the Department and pay the fee established under R12-4-504. The application is furnished by the Department and available at any Department office.
