We are happy you plan to study at Foothill! Our International Programs Office caters specifically to international students on F-1 visas, providing counseling and assistance to more than 700 students from more than 70 different countries.

International students studying in the United States can tentatively expect a cost of between $25,000 and $45,000 per year tuition and living expenses.

International students pay $25,000-$35,000 per year at a public university and $30,000-$45,000 at private colleges on average. The cost can reach up to $50,000-$55,000 per year for some private colleges. For a cheaper option, you can go to a community college.

Know the timeline Ask for recommendations. Take the TOEFL/IELTS, SAT/ACT, and any required Subject Tests. Fill out their FAFSA or CSS Profile for financial aid consideration. Begin working in the Common App, Coalition App, or school-exclusive application.
