An Enhanced Death Benefit is a feature within an Indexed Universal Life (IUL) insurance policy that offers an additional layer of protection to the policyholder's beneficiaries.

An additional death benefit is a clause found in certain life insurance contracts. It entitles the policyholder to receive an additional lump sum in the event that the policyholder should die for a reason that has been pre-approved within the insurance contract.

With the Enhanced Death Benefit, you can take annual withdrawals of up to 5% of the 5% Compounding benefit base while maintaining the death benefit value. These withdrawals can be taken through the contract anniversary prior to the oldest contract owner's 91st birthday.

Each beneficiary needs to submit a claim kit in order to get paid. We'll pay each beneficiary their proceeds separately as we receive the required claim documents from each of them. We don't require all beneficiaries to make a claim before making payment to each individual.

What Are Accelerated Death Benefits? An accelerated death benefit (ADB) is a benefit that can be attached to a life insurance policy that enables the policyholder to receive cash advances against the death benefit in the case of being diagnosed with a terminal illness.
