The Louis-Vuitton Foundation is one of the latest museums added to Paris. The initial budget for the building was 100 millions Euros. Or did they mean 100 millions per year? Because when construction was finished 8 years later, the final cost was: 800 millions!

Founded as a college in 1881, it gained its Royal Charter in 1903 with the ability to award degrees, and is also known to be one of the six 'red brick' civic universities, the first to be referred to as The Original Red Brick.

Frank Gehry's building, which reveals forms never previously imagined until today, is the reflection of the unique, creative and innovative project that is the Fondation Louis Vuitton. To produce his first sketches, Frank Gehry took his inspiration from the lightness of late 19th-century glass and garden architecture.

However, the two most recognised universities are the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University, with their iconic buildings becoming a huge part of the city's landscape.

It's home to two world-class universities which both feature in the QS World University Rankings® 2025. These are the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University, with the former being the highest-ranked (=165th).

The foundation of structure is base level of the building and serves two primary functions: to keep moisture and groundwater out of the structure and to evenly distribute the weight among load-bearing walls to the ground beneath.

The University of Liverpool is the original redbrick university and a member of the Russell Group, institutions known for their research. Although the main campus is in the heart of Liverpool, a partner university in Suzhou, China gives Liverpool students the opportunity to spend time studying in China.

The Foundation collection, overseen by artistic director Suzanne Pagé, has been built up to reflect the distinctive choices and approach articulated by Bernard Arnault.

It was designed by Louis' son, Georges Vuitton, who came up with the symbol by printing his father's initials on the canvas. Georges' design was adopted as the corporate identity for the company in 1896.
