Resident Santa Clara University students are not permitted to bring cars to campus for the duration of their first-year (Fall through Spring quarters). This includes students who have enough credits to be considered second-year students at any time during their first academic year at Santa Clara University.

To park on any of the SMC campuses you must have a current parking permit. Get a permit online (opens in new window) or in person at the Cashier's Office.

Daily parking on campus is $8, 2 hour permits are $4. Daily/hourly permits are valid for Student/Daily spaces only during peak hours M-F until 4:30pm. During off-peak hours (M-F 4:30pm-midnight and weekends), daily permits are also valid in Faculty/Staff spots.

With the exception of Residence Hall permitted vehicles in assigned parking lots and, approved campus vehicles, overnight parking and/or camping is prohibited at Sac State.

To purchase your parking permit, please login to your AIMS account from your MySCU Portal. To request a replacement for a Lost or Stolen Permit, you must complete a Lost/Stolen Permit form. The replacement fee is $15.
