Students must submit the e-drop form through MyMav by 4:00 PM CT or your request may not be reviewed or processed by the deadline and will be subject to the next business day's refund and drop deadline policies.

A “Do Not Generate Refunds” hold will appear on your student account. This hold is system generated and will release automatically four days after your most recent drop activity. No action is required on your part. UTA recommends Direct Deposit for refunds of registration charges.

Course Drop Definition and Penalty Once a student has six (6) withdrawals that do not qualify for an exception the student may not be permitted to drop future courses, and the student will receive the grade earned in the course.

If you are a first-time student of Fall 2007 or later, you may not drop more than 6 courses, including those taken at another college or university ing to the Texas Education Code, Section 51.907.

Within two days after the refund has been returned, UTA will process a paper check that will be mailed to the Mailing Address listed in your MyMav account.

Students dropping a course for academic reasons will receive a “W.” Students withdrawing from the university or who received an approved non-academic exception will receive a course notation of Q on the transcript. Courses denoted with Q do not count toward the 6-course drop limit.

Product must be unused in order to receive a refund. The last day for a full refund is 30 days after the purchase date on your receipt.

If a student withdraws from all courses during the term, the withdrawals will not count toward the student's 6-drop limit. During the course of the same term, if some courses are dropped prior to final full withdrawal, all courses will be converted to 'withdrawn' status, regardless of the timing.
