Contact the manufacturer, producer, or developer of the item you are exporting to see if they have classified their product and can provide you with the ECCN. If they have exported the item in the past, it is likely they have the ECCN.

This list contains substances whose export is controlled because their manufacture, import and/or use in Canada is prohibited or severely restricted, or because Canada has accepted, through an international agreement, to control their export.

Countries with Restricted Parties on the EAR Entity List. China, Canada, Germany, Iran, India, Israel, Pakistan, Russia, Egypt, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Lebanon, Singapore, South Korea, Syria, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates the United Kingdom.

Before Exporting: Obtain an order. Obtain an export license (if applicable) Process order for production. Order any supplies or inventory if required to fill the order. Make any necessary product modifications for the export market including but not limited to product adaption, redesign, labeling or packaging.
