The Eastern District of New York is one of the premier U.S. Attorney's Offices in the nation, representing the United States in three of the five boroughs of New York City – Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island – and all of Long Island, which includes the suburban counties of Nassau and Suffolk.

Welcome to the Eastern District of California It has almost eight million residents and encompasses six large urban areas: Sacramento, Fresno, Bakersfield, Stockton, Vallejo, and Fairfield.

As U.S. Attorney, Mr. Peace leads an office that is responsible for all federal criminal and civil cases in a district comprised of more than 8 million people in the boroughs of Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island, and in Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island.

Divisions. The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California is divided into three divisions, with jurisdiction over seven counties: Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura.

The district comprises the counties of Kings, Nassau, Queens, Richmond, and Suffolk and concurrently with the Southern District, the waters within the counties of Bronx and New York.

The Eastern District is divided into two main divisions, Sacramento and Fresno. Three additional offices hear federal misdemeanor and petty offenses presided over by magistrate judges in Bakersfield, Redding, and Yosemite National Park. The Sacramento Division serves the following counties: Alpine.
