The ability to create GPOs in a domain is a permission that is managed on a per-domain basis. By default, only Domain Administrators, Enterprise Administrators, Group Policy Creator Owners, and SYSTEM can create new Group Policy objects.

Right-click the domain you want to apply this GPO to, and then select “Link an Existing GPO…” option from the context menu. “Select GPO” window opens up. Select the new “Assigning Folder Permissions” GPO, then click OK. In the right pane, stay on the “Linked Group Policy Objects” tab that appears by default.

Moreover, a single GPO can be linked to multiple OUs. Making changes to a single GPO will also affect the links and all associated OUs.

To apply GPO to only one computer in specific OU, you can considered the following ways: 1,Just edit the policy on the local group policy on the computer. 2,Use the security filter: By default, the authenticated users have the read and apply permission for the GPOs.

As an administrator, you can give users access to the Group Policy object by using either of the following methods: Add the user to the ACL on the Group Policy object explicitly, and then give this user Read and Apply Group Policy permissions. Give the Authenticated Users group Read and Apply Group Policy permissions.

Click the GPO. In the results pane, click the Delegation tab. Click Add. In the Select User, Computer, or Group dialog box, click Object Types, select the types of objects for which you want to add GPO permissions, and then click OK.

Start → Administrative tools → Group policy management console. Navigate to the desired OU, to which you want to link a GPO. Right click on this OU and select "Link an existing GPO" . In the "Select GPO" dialog under Group Policy Objects, select the GPO you want to link and click OK.

Description. The Get-GPO cmdlet gets one Group Policy Object (GPO) or all the GPOs in a domain. You can specify a GPO by its display name or by its globally unique identifier (GUID) to get a single GPO, or you can get all the GPOs in the domain through the All parameter.

To view all the Domains/OUs/Sites to which a GPO is linked, Click the 'AD Mgmt' tab. In 'GPO Management' section click on the 'GPO Management' link. In the 'Group Policy Management' pane on the left hand side, click on 'All Domains' to expand the link and view all the configured domains.

GPOs that Windows processes last have the highest precedence. GPOs follow the Local, Site, Domain, or Organizational Units (OUs) rule for processing: first, the local GPO, then site, then the domain, and lastly the OU, including nested OUs, which are OUs that have another OU as their parent.
