Additionally, amended Form 1040-NR and amended Form 1040-SS/PR can now be filed electronically for tax year 2021 and 2022.

Steps on creating and e-filing form 1040X. Open the original return. Click the Returns menu, then select Amend Return. The amendment form is installed to the return and opens the return. Make all necessary changes then Create E-file. The select jurisdictions window will show Federal 1040. This is normal.
