Tampa Campus Research Library USF's largest and most comprehensive library provides access to over two million academic journals, databases, and books, and research assistance for students and faculty.

The USF Libraries offer access to over 1.3 million books and an extensive selection of print and electronic resources, including 52,000 e-journal subscriptions, 443,000 e-books, and over 800 databases containing articles, media and other materials.

In 1975, the current seven-story, 154,000 square foot building opened with the capacity of up to one million volumes.

There are library facilities for University of South Florida students on all 3 campuses. In addition to the library in Tampa, facilities for St. Petersburg and Sarasota are listed below.

During 24/5 hours of operation, all patrons who enter, or those remaining in the library from 9:45pm to 6:00am, Sunday through Thursday, must be currently enrolled students, faculty or staff and they must have a valid USF ID in their possession.

Upon your first visit to the library, please bring your Alumni card or President's Council card. All community members and visitors are welcome to use print materials inside the Tampa Library during regular operating hours (7:30AM-8:45PM Monday-Thursday, 7:30AM-6PM Friday, 10AM-6PM Saturday, 12PM-8:45PM Sunday).

Drinks in closed containers and snacks are permitted in the library. Vending machines are available in the rest room alcove on the first floor of the library. Because food can attract insects we ask that you dispose of your wrappers and uneaten food in the library wastebaskets and clean up any spills that might occur.
