Get (CAS) - REPORT REQUESTS

CAS is sent to the school after you apply. But it takes a week or so for the report to be compiled by LSAC. Once it is put together, it is sent within a day or so of when you apply.

The CAS registration fee is $195. CAS also produces a report synthesizing your academic background. The report includes academic summaries based on your grades (including a recalculated cumulative GPA), GPA major, LSAT score and a comparison of you to other law school applicants.

The registration fee for the CAS is $195. CAS reports are accessible for up to 5 years after registration. Each time an applicant registers for the LSAT, his or her CAS access is extended from the most recent LSAT registration point.

Law School Report: This is a report compiled by LSAC which includes your LSAT scores, LSAT writing samples, academic summary (essentially all of your undergraduate grades, converted to a 4.0 system), copies of all transcripts (undergraduate, graduate, professional), and copies of your recommendation letters.

You can complete the steps to assemble your CAS file in any order, but you must complete all steps before we can send your CAS Report. This is important. It takes approximately two weeks to process a transcript and up to five business days to process a paper letter of recommendation from the time we receive it.

Almost all ABA-approved law schools require the use of CAS reports in the admissions process. No school that uses the CAS will consider an applicant until their CAS report is complete. The CAS is required by law schools because it standardizes much of the information relevant to making admission decisions.
