Any student who, with proper permission, registers after the scheduled days for regular registration will be required to pay a special charge of $20.00 for the late Web registration process, $30.00 for in-person late registration, or $50.00 on or after the first official school day of class.

S B G zone is strictly enforced between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm weekdays. After 4pm to 8pm any current UTEP parking permit can park at SBG. SBG permit holders may park in any perimeter and silver zone after 4:00 pm with their current PG-1 permit on display.

Food and beverages. Beverages should be in sealed/closed containers. Food and Drink containers should not be placed on books or bookshelves. Posted signage designates those areas where food and beverages are not permitted.

Reinstatement After Drop For Non-Payment A $200 reinstatement fee will be added and the student must make payment arrangements within 24 hours of the reinstatement with the Student Business Services Office. After drop deadline, the signature of the instructors will be required on the form before reinstatement.

To check out a book at the library you will need a current UTEP Miner Gold Card. You can present either your physical card or the digital card available on your dashboard on my.utep.edu.

The Library building is 275,000 square feet, with six floors and a book capacity of 1.2 million volumes.

While there has always been a library collection on campus, the current building opened October 12, 1984. It features a unique Bhutanese architecture, as do many of the buildings on campus.

Undergraduate students and staff can check out a maximum of 25 print books at a time. Graduate students can check out a maximum of 50 print books at a time. Faculty can check out 99 print books at a time.
