WEIGHT CERTIFICATE From any weighting station – Texas public weigh station or any License and Weight Inspector of the Texas Department of Public Safety. Weight slip must include; the date the weight was taken, the name and address of weigh station, signature of the weigher, the weight must be mechanically printed.

In order to register a new trailer, proof of ownership is required. Used trailers over 4,000 pounds require a certificate of the title while used trailers at 4,000 pounds or less require a bill of sale as well as the registration receipt.

Empty Weight: Weight (in pounds) of the vehicle without a load, rounded up to the next 100 pounds.
