The Green Building Initiative (GBI) is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing climate impacts by improving the built environment. Founded in 2004, the organization is the global provider of the Green Globes® and federal Guiding Principles Compliance certification and assessment programs.

In practical terms, green building is a whole-systems-approach to building that includes: Designing for livable communities. Using sun and site to the building's advantage for natural heating, cooling, and daylighting. Landscaping with native, drought-resistant plants and water-efficient practices.

Green buildings help reduce negative impacts on the natural environment by using less water, energy, and other natural resources; employing renewable energy sources and eco-friendly materials; and reducing emissions and other waste.

GREEN ACTION PLAN 2023 Green Action Plan (GAP) is an annual plantation programme implemented by Department of Forests and Wildlife, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, being the Nodal Agency in collaboration with more than 20 other Greening Agencies of the State.
