The Rutgers Law Library is the most comprehensive public law library in New Jersey. Alumni, members of the Bar, and the public are free to use the public access computers located in the law libraries.

Rutgers alumni and senior auditors can register as guest borrowers. Guest borrowers may check out up to 25 books, for up to 6 weeks (unless requested by another patron).

Most alumni and senior auditors will use NetID and their RUID card to access library services, but you may be assigned a barcode and password to access library materials if you are not eligible for NetID. Alumni can bring a Rutgers Alumni Card to any Rutgers library information desk.

Sign in with your NetID to place requests. To check items out at the library, use your Rutgers ID card. You can check out items up to one month in advance of starting classes or working at Rutgers. Bring a valid Rutgers ID card or proof of current registration to the information desk of any Rutgers library.

All eligible New Jersey students can attend Rutgers tuition-free for four years through a combination of university, federal and state financial aid programs.

Princeton University All Rutgers University faculty and students can obtain access to Firestone and most Princeton libraries by showing a valid ID at the access office at Firestone Library. You may call the access officer at 609-258-5737 to check hours that the office is open and ask any other questions.
