Get Including Graphics In LATEX

The options are as follows: Use the Insert Figure button( ), located on the editor toolbar, to insert a figure into Visual Editor or Code Editor. Copy and paste an image into Visual Editor or Code Editor. Use Code Editor to write LaTeX code that inserts a graphic and places it inside a figure environment.

To bring in graphics from outside LaTeX, use the graphicx package, which adds the command \includegraphics to LaTeX. is an imported PDF. You can include EPS, PNG, JPG, and PDF files. If you have more than one version of a graphic then you can write, for instance, example-image.

However, you don't want to be keeping track of the numbers, so you can use a label instead, and let LaTeX replace it with the correct figure number. To add a label, you must embed the following command: \label{marker}. To then reference a label: \ref{marker}.

The \includegraphics command is part of the graphicx package and can import all the usual file formats including pdf, jpeg, png, etc. The command also accepts other options instead of scale such as rotation, height, width, bounding box, etc.

Including images in your LaTeX document requires adding: \usepackage{graphicx} to the beginning/preamble of your document. \includegraphics{ } command tells LaTeX to insert the image. To upload an image, click the upload button, and upload your image file.

Include the graphicx package in your LaTeX file with \usepackage{graphicx}. Use the \includegraphics command with the name of the graphic file foo without extension. By doing so each of latex and pdflatex will choose the correct version of the file to be included, i.e., latex will use foo.ps and pdflatex will use foo.
