The selection of freshmen is based on ACT/SAT scores (29/1330 minimum), high school grade point average (3.85 minimum), the submission of an essay, and a record of leadership and service. Students already enrolled at Auburn who have a 3.4 unadjusted GPA may also be considered for admission.

When you are ready to apply, your application can be submitted online at auburn.edu/admissions or through the Common Application. There is no preference given to either application. We encourage you to submit the application you start.

Grad schools typically have an acceptance rate of around 15%, so there is a chance that even with impressive qualifications, an applicant will still get rejected.

Even though Auburn has an acceptance rate of 82 percent, graduate admissions are more selective and competitive. For finding your spot in AU's online master's programs, you'll need to possess at least a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or an approved foreign equivalent.

FEES AND DEPOSITS A $50 non-refundable application fee is due at the time of application to Auburn First. Application fee waivers are available to those who qualify.

GPA Requirements and Average GPA Along with Auburn's average ACT and SAT scores, candidates also require a good GPA to enroll in the University. They need to have an average high school GPA of 3.74 and a typical high school grade of A-. The school has the leading average GPA in Alabama.

The applicant must submit standardized examination scores (GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, and/or IELTS) if required for application to the degree program. Applicants with an earned doctorate (Professional, EdD, PhD) from an accredited institution whose instruction is in English may be exempted from this requirement.
