Club winners advance to the district to compete for a $2,500 college scholarship. At the local level, awards are given for: First Place $750, Second Place $500, and Third Place $250.

This award will recognize a student who exemplifies the Optimist Creed for consideration for an award from the Optimist Club. The members of the selection committee will evaluate the nominations based on the information presented on this form.

As a civic organization, the goal of all Optimist Clubs is to have a positive impact on the lives of today's youth. The men and women of Optimist Clubs conduct positive service projects aimed at providing a helping hand to youth. Club members are best known in their communities for their upbeat attitudes.

The Optimist of the Year Award will be awarded to 1/2 members of our organization. This award should go to someone who has gone above and beyond the call of duty for our organization and the community.
