NBCCEDP also provides patient navigation services to help them overcome barriers and get timely access to quality care.

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper just signed Medicaid expansion into law, following years of advocacy from LLS volunteers and staff. Once it takes effect, the bipartisan deal will make 600,000+ North Carolinians newly eligible for lifesaving care, including cancer screenings and treatment.

The Every Woman Counts program provides free breast and cervical cancer screenings and follow-up services. This includes clinical breast exams, mammograms and Pap tests to eligible women in San Diego County. As women get older, especially after the age of 50, the chance of getting breast and cervical cancer goes up.

Of 3634 references identified, 12 references met study inclusion criteria. The proportion of patients up-to-date on breast cancer screening per guidelines ranged from 45% to 94%. The proportion of patients up-to-date on cervical cancer screening per guidelines ranged from 40% to 88%.

NYS Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program (MCTP) Women and men who are in need of treatment for breast, cervical, colorectal or prostate** cancer may be eligible for full Medicaid coverage through the NYS MCTP. Coverage lasts for the entire treatment period and includes medications.

Metastasis to the genital tract is less common and among that, metastasis to ovary is most common [6]. The simultaneous occurrence of breast and cervical cancer is rare as the etiological factors for both the cancers are different.
