TSA PreCheck costs $78 for a five-year membership, and $70 to renew. Global Entry includes TSA PreCheck, plus faster U.S. customs screening for international travelers arriving at U.S. airports. It's run by a different agency, U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Global Entry costs $100 for a five-year membership.

Wait for Your Card – If your Global Entry enrollment has been approved for renewal, you will receive an email letting you know and an updated Global Entry member card will be sent to the address you have listed on your renewal application.

There is a Global Entry grace period of 24 months, meaning you can continue to use your Global Entry benefits for up to two years past expiration as long as you applied before the expiration date. However, if you do miss your expiration date, you won't necessarily be treated as a brand-new applicant.

An interview for program membership renewal may not be necessary. Once you submit your renewal application and fee, check your TTP account periodically for updates on what actions are necessary to complete the renewal process. You will receive an email when your membership status changes.

You become eligible to renew Global Entry one year from your membership's date of expiration, and that's exactly when you should begin the reapproval process, which can take months.

Fast Track Access Global Entry kiosks are available at all major airports across the US. Members can also use the NEXUS lanes to fast track in Canada and the TSA Precheck lanes on departure.

You can renew your membership even if it has already expired. Log into your Trusted Traveler account and click Renew, then follow the instructions, answer the questions (eg., countries you've traveled to since you first applied, any change of contact info, etc.), and pay the fee.
