Ch was signed into law on June 7, 2001, Section 127 of the Internal Revenue Code was extended permanently for both graduate and undergraduate courses, effective January 1, 2002. This benefit enables employers to assist workers to further their education at a cost of up to $5,250 per year tax free, whether or not the course is job -related. NOTE: CUNY eligible employees are hereby advised that undergraduate and graduate level courses in which they enroll in using the CUNY Employee Tuition Fee Wai.

  9. The bursar’s office will then complete box C and return the completed form to the HR office for payroll actions.
  10. Finally, check that the application concludes with the payroll office completing box E and providing you with a copy of the final form.

The SUNY Tuition Waiver Program waives employee tuition expenses for career-related, credit bearing course work taken at SUNY State-operated campuses. Partial tuition, generally 75% per course, but not exceeding a total of $750 per fiscal year, is waived subject to availability of funds.
