Chase Quick Deposit is only for business checks, personal checks, U.S. treasury checks, traveler's checks, and money orders payable in U.S. dollars and drawn on banks in the United States. Foreign and Canadian checks are not allowed. We do not require you to scan a paper deposit slip with the checks in your deposit.

In New Jersey, the most a landlord can charge as a security deposit is one and a half month's rent. If a landlord increases a tenant's rent, the landlord can also raise the security deposit to coincide with this rent increase, but cannot ask for more than a 10% increase in the security deposit in any given year.

Paint requirements Painting or other protective coatings are the responsibility of the occupant, not the landlord when required more than once every three years, as a result of acts or omissions of the tenant. (Rental units are not required to be painted between tenants.)

Failure To Deposit, Provide Notice, Or Pay Interest This notice by the tenant must be provided prior to the tenant's remedy of applying the security deposit plus 7% interest to the rent due or coming due.

The landlord is required to pay the tenant the interest or the earnings generated on their security deposit annually. If the tenant wishes, they can have this amount credited toward their next month's rent instead.

If your deposit was sent on or before the business day cutoff (11 PM Eastern time), you'll receive this message the same day. A business day is every day except Saturday, Sunday, and federal and state holidays.
