Employees must report to the PIC if they have any of the following symptoms: Diarrhea. Vomiting. Jaundice (yellowing of skin or whites of eyes)
Reinforce good handwashing and emphasize no bare-hand contact with ready-to-eat foods. Exclude food employee from food establishment if symptoms included diarrhea or vomiting, foodworker must be symptom free for at least 24 hours before returning to work. Record on employee illness log.
Any food handler that is vomiting, has diarrhea, or has had jaundice for less than seven days must be excluded from the operation.
