How to fill out the BattleShip - The Coordinate Game online
This guide provides clear and comprehensive instructions on filling out the BattleShip - The Coordinate Game online. By following the steps outlined, users can easily initiate and participate in this classic coordinate-based game.
Follow the steps to complete your game grid successfully.
- Press the ‘Get Form’ button to access the BattleShip grid document and open it for editing.
- On your grid, place the designated ships by positioning the appropriate letters either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, as specified in the instructions. Ensure that both players set up their grids according to the guidelines provided.
- Once the grids are set, determine who will go first. The player initiating the turn will call out a position, such as (2,-5), to the opposing player.
- The opposing player will respond with ‘Hit’ if one of their ships occupies the called position or ‘Miss’ if it does not. The player who called the position should then mark the outcome on the opponent grid.
- Simultaneously, the other player needs to mark the shot on their defensive grid for tracking purposes. If the result is a ‘Hit’, the player continues their turn; if it’s a ‘Miss’, the turn passes to the other player.
- When a player successfully hits all the positions of a specific ship, they must announce, for example, ‘Hit... you sunk my Cruiser’. This indicates the destruction of the ship.
- Continue play until one player has sunk all of the opposing player’s ships. The player achieving this first is declared the winner.
- After completing your game, remember to save your changes, download, print, or share the finished document as needed.
