A tree removal or encroachment permit IS required if: The tree is on residential property and the property owner doesn't have documentation from an arborist certified by the International Society of Arboriculture or a Florida licensed landscape architect that the tree presents a danger to persons or property.

A Tree Pruning or Tree Removal Permit is required to prune or remove any public tree and certain private trees. Public Trees are those that occur on any County owned land (parks, building grounds, etc.) and/or within Right-of-Way situations.
