Contact support

If you are requesting the registry status of a nurse aide, applications for placement on the Registry, test schedules, test sites, qualifications for testing, or other questions related to the Registry, please contact the Idaho State Nurse Aide Registry at (800) 748-2480 (locally at 208-334-6620) or IDNAP@dhw.idaho.gov ...

Call the Illinois CNA registry at 217-785-5133 during regular business hours.

DCWs provide assistance with daily activities, administer medications, and ease the burden for Iowa's elderly and persons with disabilities. In Iowa, only certified nursing assistants (CNAs), also referred to as nurse's aides, are placed on the Direct Care Worker Registry.

Program Length: CNA training programs can take anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks to complete, and include classroom or online coursework in addition to clinical practice hours. In Illinois, training must include a minimum of 40 hours of clinical practice hours.

Please contact the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry staff at DCW@dia.iowa.gov, 515.281. 4077 , or 515.281. 0108. Registry hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

There are no CNA certificate numbers for the State of Illinois. If you are completing a general application form that asks for your certificate number, enter not-applicable (N/A) and attach a print out of your Registry verification page.

CNA certification does not expire. However, a CNA will lose his/her active CNA certification status if he/she goes for a period of 24 consecutive months after his/her last competency evaluation without providing nursing or nursing-related services for pay under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

The information on the registry is the only means a health care employer may use to obtain this verification. E-mail the registry at DPH.HCWR@Illinois.gov. Call the registry's help desk at 217-785-5133, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
