Stoicism is like the “elimination” diet of thought, it offers to solve problems by shutting off the feeling part. The problem is that feeling part never shuts off fully (except for psychopaths), so stoicism can often slip into just another version of mental avoidance when trying to apply it to all of life.

A central claim of Stoic ethics is that only virtues and virtuous activities are good, and only vices and vicious actions are evil. A Jedi's strength of mind has greater value than the ability to execute a Force push. The ultimate goal for Jedi is to decipher the will of the Force and conduct themselves ingly.
